The Philadelphia Flyers are heading back home in a 2-0 hole after consecutive 1 goal losses in Chicago. Adding to their frustration is the fact that Ben Eager, a 4th liner and known more for his fighting, scored the game winning goal.
He also got under the skin of ex-teammate Chris Pronger after the game was over. As Pronger skated off the ice heading to the locker room, Eager came over and the two exchanged words. Pronger appeared a bit unhappy and shot what appeared to be a rally towel at Eager’s face. Conveniently, like most of the Flyers’ shots on Sunday, it missed the mark.
If Ben Eager’s goal was to annoy and frustrate the opposition then by God I believe he’s succeeded.
